Before you cozy up in my salon chair, let me introduce myself! My name is Hannah Schatschneider and I am the owner of Mended Roots, LLC. I am coming up on five years in the beauty industry. Life drove me in many directions until I landed on my calling as a beauty professional!

 

Born and raised in Janesville, WI – I am a Wisconsin girly through and through. After graduating high school, I made my way to La Crosse, WI where I received a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing. Like most of us starting out in our careers, I was not in love with my first job out of college. I found myself torn between wanting to use the degree I worked hard for or set out on a new career path.

 

Truth be told – I knew I wanted to go to cosmetology school within one year of graduating college. I actually toured a cosmetology school without telling anyone, but decided to give my degree more of a chance. Shortly after I made that decision, I actually found an opportunity to work for a cosmetology school as their marketing director. It was the perfect opportunity – utilize my degree, but get more familiar with the beauty industry.

 

After working as the marketing director for two years, I decided to take the chance and enroll in cosmetology school at the Aveda Institute in Madison. I haven’t looked back since!

 

I feel so fortunate to be able to say I literally LOVE my job. Making people look and feel their best is a passion of mine. It’s an honor I hold deeply in my heart to be able to build a relationship with my clients. I’m so honored to now marry my marketing background and the love I have for the beauty industry and create this suite little spot called Mended Roots!
